Drs. Markus Amann and Walter Wray from The University of Utah Vascular Research Laboratory (www.uvrl.org) are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows who are interested in research training in the areas of Cardiovascular, Pulmonary, and Neuromuscular Physiology. Our lab focuses on integrative human physiology and pathophysiology including healthy individuals of all ages, patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary disease, patients with Parkinson’s, and patients with neuropathic pain. Funding for postdoctoral training opportunities is secured by grants from the NIH and the VA Merit Review.
Our trainees work in an interdisciplinary team including basic scientists, physiologists, and physicians and have the opportunity to learn a wide spectrum of techniques to study human physiology / pathophysiology.

Candidates should have some or all of the following attributes: 1) a strong background in Integrative Human Physiology, 2) good communication skills (written/spoken English), 3) an excellent academic record, 4) a keen desire to learn, and 5) previous research experience working with human volunteers and/or patients in a Physiology research environment.
