The Senior Accountant works hand-in-hand with our Assistant Director of General Accounting to record both capital projects and non-capital projects, ensuring appropriate funding is available, verifying approval documentation, and maintaining the fixed asset module within Banner. This position also assists with maintaining the accuracy of long-term debt schedules and the timely submission of related periodic debt payments for the University. In addition, the Senior Accountant prepares ad hoc reports and projects as assigned by management and assists with annual closing activities to ensure accurate annual financial statements and related schedules.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
At least 3 years of accounting experience (a combination of relevant accounting experience and/or acquired professional certifications may be considered in lieu of experience)*
