Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in managing environmental, water, and karst research projects and programs related to the mission of the Center for Human GeoEnvironmental Studies, including graduate and undergraduate student training, through duties related to conducting technical field and lab work. Position supports student research and generates revenue for research and development projects that students are involved with in an ongoing basis. Continuation is dependent upon funding/need.
Job Requirements:
MS degree in a field related to environmental science, geoscience, or a related field, OR BS degree in a related field plus a minimum of two years of experience in environmental work or related fields.
Candidate must hold KDOW Certification in Field and Stormwater Sampling
A history of obtaining competitive grants, contracts, or private funding.
Previous program coordination and/or management experience.
Previous experience in conducting research and contract work.
Scientific proficiency in both written and oral formats
Knowledge of field and laboratory operations, including QA/QC.
Must be able to work on several projects simultaneously.
Ability to supervise and lead small to large teams of people.

Salary: $35,600
