The Talent Acquisition (TA) Specialist is a member of the University Advancement Administration team focused on recruitment in the areas of sourcing and ensuring an efficient recruitment lifecycle. This talent professional will be instrumental in creating candidate pipelines by engaging potential candidates through social media and professional networking platforms. This role also serves as primary contact for hiring managers for administrative and technical questions related to recruitment systems, processes, and procedures. The TA Specialist will assist the Manager of Talent Acquisition in developing internal management reports and implementing special projects, programs, and recruitment initiatives.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Source potential University Advancement candidates. Identify and conduct outreach via LinkedIn, job boards, and professional networking groups to build talent pipelines. Review previous applicants in Workday and proactively send resumes to hiring managers for consideration for other University Advancement positions. Champion recruitment approaches that support diversity, equity, and inclusion. Exercise discernment and ability to connect with and refer executive-level talent.
Provide full lifecycle recruitment support throughout the hiring process, in conjunction with the Manager. Conduct informational interviews and assist managers with screening candidates. Field referrals for open positions. Meet with managers regularly to discuss talent needs within their respective teams. Manage and maintain data integrity in Workday, job postings, and career pages on professional sites. Manage postings to job boards outside of Washington Universityâ™s Careers page. Promote open positions through professional social media platforms. Exercise creative thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities in recruiting for challenging or hard-to-fill positions.Â
Initiate ideas on special projects related to streamlining and improving hiring processes, enhancing candidate experience, and promoting Washington University in St. Louis and University Advancement.
Create and update monthly reports for management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working with applicant tracking systems.
Experience in a complex, academic, or large non-profit setting.
Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other Human Resources Management software (preferably Workday).
Prior experience working with LinkedIn Recruiter, LinkedIn Recruiter Lite, and/or LinkedIn Premium.
Knowledge of using professional sites and social networks.
Ability to work collegially and collaboratively in a team setting, across all levels of the organization.Â

Required Qualifications
College degree and three years of recruitment experience or equivalent education and experience to equal seven years.

Salary Range
$52,000.00 - $88,800.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
