Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a college access program grant funded through the U.S. Department of Education. Educational Talent Search is designed to prepare low-income and/or potential first-generation students for success in college. Educational Talent Search provides assistance with high school course selection, study skills, tutoring, ACT preparation, college and career information, and financial aid assistance.
Oversees general office operations by:
Processing invoices
Negotiating program purchases
Maintaining office supplies, equipment, and leased vehicles
Creating participant files, sending acceptance letters, and tracking admission status
Maintaining personnel files and processing staff time and effort reports
Filing, answering phones, emails, and fax
Assists program director in monitoring program budget by:
Maintaining budget spreadsheet for program for grant year
Tracking expenses, balancing accounts and transferring funds
Monitoring budget through the use of Banner and Banner Finance Reports
Auditing purchasing card transactions
Maintaining physical and electronic financial records
Working with Purchasing and Grant Accounting Departments
Collaborates with Educational Talent Search staff with planning and organizing of program events by:
Purchasing food and supplies for programming
Assisting with set up/break down, organizing transportation, and documentation of events
Serving as a positive role model for high school participants
Additional Responsibilities:
Attends professional conferences and trainings
Aids program staff in completion of annual performance report
Other duties as needed
Job Requirements:
Two-year post secondary education, plus two years related administrative experience
Strong organizing and planning skills
Attention to detail
Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
Availability to work some evenings and weekends.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $15.13 - $16/hr
