Western Kentucky University invites applications for an Executive-In-Residence position in the Accounting Department of the Gordon Ford College of Business. Employment begins with the fall 2022 semester.
The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing assessment and enhancement of the department's newly-revised undergraduate and the current graduate curriculums, and to the service activities that support the goals of the department, college, and university. Teaching responsibilities will include the delivery of introductory accounting courses as well as coverage of upper-level courses (both undergraduate and graduate) where the candidate's expertise meets the needs of the department. Preference will be given to applicants having one or more of the following: 1) professional accounting experience in audit and/or tax, 2) CPA certification. As an executive-in-residence, maintaining current and relevant in the field through continued professional development and engagement related to his/her professional backgrounds and experience is required.
A graduate degree in Accounting or business-related field from an accredited U.S. institution.
An accounting-related professional certification.
A minimum of 5 years of combined accounting-related professional and/or teaching experience.
